Born on May 11, 1987 in Hiroshima, Japan. He is a former representative of Japan's national soccer team. Joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2006. In 2010, he made his debut for Japan national team. 11 years later, he moved to 1.FC Cologne (Germany). 12 years later, he moved to Urawa Reds. In 12 he moved to Urawa Reds. 2018 he was selected for Japan's national team for the FIFA World Cup Russia. In 2010, he moved to Vissel Kobe and retired at the end of that season.
In addition to coaching, he continues to commentate on soccer, appear on variety shows and other media, and serve as CEO of HALTEN JAPAN LIMITED, a cosmetics brand he founded.
In the future, he aims to obtain a "Class S License," which will enable him to coach in the J-League.
