PP-1 The Potential for Job-Based Employment in Japan and the Role of Marketers
Job-based employment refers to a form of employment in which employees are hired for a single job or project, rather than the traditional lifetime employment or seniority-based employment. Specifically, the company clearly defines the work content and skills needed and then seeks the right people for the job. This allows both employers and workers to have clear goals and work in a flexible manner. In Japan, there is growing interest in job-based employment as part of the reform of work styles.
In this session, we will discuss the trend of job-type employment in Japan, its potential in the marketing field, and the skills and experience that are considered important. Through the speakers' diverse experiences and reflections, we hope that the participating marketers will gain an understanding of the skills and experiences they will need in the future for their own career plans and gain insights that will lead to concrete actions.
